Are American schools seeming a little like Hitler's Youth?

Yeah, I know what you mean. The schools are becoming WAY more controlling. When I started school kindergarten, it was OK. But now it's like they can't help but control every little thing we do. At my school, you can't get any drink except a diet one. Yet they let you buy cookies and tasty cakes and what not. Wth? And then there's all the rules! You can only do this at certain times, you can't use this door, if you do you'll be written up, you can't go to the guidence office without telling them WHY you want to go. It's just so... idk. Controlling.
