Since she is 23, and legally an adult, and a ward of the state, her group assisted living home is allowing this union to proceed. How can i keep her safe, stop this from happening? Cracked and flakey toenail, won't grow?

Hi guys, I've had this problem for a while and I am finally sick of dealing with this toenail and want help. I have always worn toenail polish, so my toenails aren't in the best of shape. Some of them are cracked, but they all grow. I have this one toenail (second toe in) that won't grow. It is cracked side to side in multiple areas, and it doesn't grow straight forward, almost inward. It's not ingrown and there is no pain, it is just bizarre and ugly. When I attempt to trim it, it merely peels off layers and reveals bright white, flakey layers beneath it. I am unsure what to do because I am unsure what is going on. What is causing my car to run poorly and get bad gas mileage?

It is a 97 eclipse spyder with the 4g64 engine (non turbo). It has around 145k miles on it. It idled very rough when in neutral until I turned the idle speed up. I replaced the air intake with an aftermarket one. The filter is clean so I doubt the intake is the cause. I also replaced the mass air flow sensor and spark plugs which didn't help any. These cars are estimated at 23 city, 31 hwy. I average around 18 mpg, and with gas prices as high as they are, I need to fix something. When cold and accelerating, it feels like its dragging a train, then all the sudden it will accelerate quickly and smoothly (only does this when cold). I'm not sure if its the o2 sensor, a vacuum leak, or maybe a computer problem.

Next year, I am entering Middle School. Back in 5th grade, I always wore my hair down and did nothing to it. EVER. So, I want to do something for Middle. You know, change it a little. it started when i went to the beach yesterday, drover there fine, no idiot lights poped up. got in line with my car to pay to get in, went to start moving agian and my car would barely creep along, parked it, checked all fluids, they were all good. let it cool down for a few hours, checked fluids again, they were still good. started and it would move, but could still feel something not quite right with it. made the 60 mile trip back home, got off the HWY and on to a main road, and it started to do it again, reav up but not move. what could cause this?

So I had my hair about to the center of my back. It was pretty long and nice, I went to the hair salon and asked for a trim and some thinning because I have really thick hair and a few long layers. Simple Summer Hairstyles with no heat required?

I have medium length, about 4-6 inches past my shoulders, and i have a TON of hair. The type is hard to explain. Celiacs cookware question?

I am baking a friend a cake and need to buy cake pans for it. My girlfriend has celiacs disease. Can a lecturer or professor mark a few lates as an absence?

I know a professor can count a late as an absent if a student misses roll call. But can a professor mark a few late as one absent(which day would they mark it as). Or can they lock the door and disallow late students to enter? Which my professor did. Is it one thing to mark a late as an absence and another to make the student who's late physically absent? Especially when the college handbook allows professors fail students after exceeding some percentage of absences. This professor is withdrawing for absences not exceedpercentage & for lates they marked as absent because students didn't see them after class. I don't recall them saying 'stay after class' nor is it on their syllabus but they said they did. I think it really depends on the state you live in because there are so many different laws. In my state, it's no fault. Based on the fact that multiple cars were involved, I think you may have a hard time fighting it. I'd imagine they'd tell you that it's your responsibility to be keeping a safe distance from the car in front of you. It wouldn't hurt to try fighting it, but it depends on your excuse. I wouldn't go to court saying you caused the accident because you weren't looking in front of you. It's good you were checking your blind spot, but you also need to be aware of the space between you and the car in front of you. Other than icy roads, I'm not sure how you could really put together a solid argument. But I guess it couldn't hurt on a $427 ticket. Good luck!

How can i get straight hair?

I was driving on the HWY with Cruise Control recently when I noticed the car jolted, and the Cruise Control stopped working. About the same time my fan went, with both heat and the A/C. Since I was returning from a road trip, I was afraid to stop the car so we kept driving. I started to hear a noise similar to my disc breaks grinding every time we decelerated, then some awful smell like burning rubber when we came to a complete stop. We continued on until we finally made it home. The check engine light never came on, and since I started my car again I now have my cruise control back, so the only thing missing currently is my heat/AC. How costly is this? Is it dangerous not have the work done right away? And what were those awful smell and noises? Any suggestions would be super helpful....

Ford Focus getting poor MPG?

I recently purchased a 2002 Ford Focus SE sedan. Everything works perfect on the car and it has been inspected by a mechanic and it is tip top shape and I can tell was well maintained. However, over the first few days I've had the car it seems to be getting poor MPG. I filled it up, drove 100 miles, and it reads half a tank of gas. I think the gas guage is accurate because it was on half a tank when I filled it up and it took approximately 6.5 gallons, which is half a tank in this Focus. So I am averaging about 15 MPG when I should be getting at least 23. What can be causing this if everything else seems to be fine? My driving habits are slow acceleration never over 70 on the HWY, A/C on windows up on the 2 setting out of 4. Air filter is clean, spark plugs and wires are good (what my mechanic said I personally haven't checked them). Maybe this is related or not, Idk, but the radio sometimes shuts off mid-song and then turns back on by itself. It's been doing that since I got it. That's the only problems I've had with the car. What can be causing this???

Feeling So Guilty, Stressed Mom?

After fighting traffic for 50 minutes and rushing to pick kids up from school. I was behind some very slow moving drivers, disabled trucks, school buses, etc. I was very impatient. The last slow moving car had to been going 20 miles an hour & was the car in front of me in the school car rider line. This woman had a younger child in car who she allowed to play in car while we waited, hang out window, jump up & down in car. Anyway she held up the line when we got our kids because she had an issue with strapping her hyper kid back in. I was too impatient to travel behind her again so I passed her on a 2 lane hwy and sped my way home. This woman followed me to my home, did not get out of her car but slowed down. Okay so, for a long time now, i've been dieting and exercising along with it obviously. Btw im a 14 year old girl, and my height is 5'6... weight, ill get into that later..(you'll see). So now for my exercise, i recently started running the mile... i was starting with once a week, then i eventually started running it almost everyday(trying) with the weather being crappy, rain etc. , also my brother, was taking me to the high school track where i live and that kind of stopped between him working, not having time, and being busy most of the time. So that stopped so i started instead walking down to my school which is literally a 6 minute walk away and running around the field 4 times or either the school(got sick of the field so just recently started running the school) which is a mile cause i did in gym class. I think this whole week, ever since monday, i've ran it everyday. i don't even know how to tell you my weigh and if its water or fat, it sucks! im either 157, 162,163,164,or 165. i was 163 last night, started out with 162 this morning, and now im 165! Ever since february, my doctor's appointment, i was 168, and i haven't seen that weight in a while so i think ive lost that.. i was told that i was not fat, but basically overweight for my age. I started cutting back little by little at that time, and it was hard for me so i stopped,(which i REALLY wish i didn't have) and started eating again, however somehow maintaining that weight(i forget howw) then it got easier in march, i figured out more ways, obviously april, and may... and i forget when but like i said i started running the mile little by little and now. So, my question is losing weight.. like more than 10.. but i actually think i know why this hasn't been going well is because the main reason, my dieting. It's been HORRIBLE and sooo hard for me. Between these awful cravings(my mom thinks im a sugar addict) and not being able to control it whatso ever. and the fact that i haven't been losing any weight, as much as i want to in this amount of time that im starting to give up then start up back again which is taking me incredibly soooo much amount of time than what i want it to. the beginning of today was going good for me, i was thinking about running the mile twice, but im soo tired and i just recently got a pain on the top of my leg, bottom, and it feels like a bruise and hurts running... there always has to be some freaking problem making it even HAAARDER for me! ugh! sorry.. the end of today though, not so good. i skipped dinner, thinking i would lose more, but it ended up backfiring me from being sooo hungry for the rest of the night. i did eat watermelon and a banana for dinner. but so farr ive aten 2 yogurts, two ice cream sandwhiches, ice cream, chips, i think maybe even a little bit more but yeah.... :( then i got really mad and started doing pushups and everything. i weighted myself, i was back at 165 and i totally gave up and started eating more but now, its stopped as i speak. My plan was to lose like all the extra fat off of me, so i could be skinny or thin again like 15-20 pounds before atleast summer, then it extended to 4th of july so i could be able to enjoy the food and wear nice clothing and look good and feel confident but now, 4th of july is just around the corner(3 days) and i have a party im attending and its not going to go well unless you could just magically lose 20 pounds in 3 days... maybe even just 10.... also, forget to mention, but my mom did say she has noticed a bloatyness i had on my face off and i look a bit less bloaty kind of that small layer of fat off if you know what i mean.... i dont get how that can happen when i was 168, 3 pounds more(well, depends if im still 165, never know with me i could go back down or whatever ugh) but that i dont get.. soooo.... It averaged 20 MPG in Wisconsin winters and 22 MPG in the summer on 87 octane, 10% ethanol, gas. You should be able to get similar results with a conservative driving style. As far as flaws. Rust is always an issue and small block Chevy engines are prone to rear main seal leaks and timing chains lasted about 100,000 miles before they would stretch and cause problems. I've thought about getting one those cars too, but I'd get the LS version. I like the non SS front.

Hello, I'm driving from St.Louis Mo. to Clearwater Fl. via I-75. From what I've heard, driving through Atl is worse then driving through Houston Tx.(where I used to live) This is why I thought about taking Hwy 92 from Cartersvile to Fayetteville. The only down side is this adds about a hour to my driving time. so I was wondering if driving through Atl on I-75 is as bad as people make it out to be? okay i had a stock 350 in my 85 chevy truck and the harmonic balancer bolt back out and messed up the crank but i put another 350 in it but this one has a mild cam edelbrock intake im using the same radiator water pump and everything but it is running warm cruising down the hwy it runs about 210 i took the thermostat out and it still runs at about 210 i flush the motor and radiator but still no results so im stumped i put a new fan clutch on it also. but could someone help me? the motor is a 78 model if that has anything to do with anything

Why is my car so bad on gas?

I have a 1994 Nissan Altima Gxe Sedan. Automatic. The car will get 400kms out of 45Litres or 248 miles to 11.89 gallons. The car has a problem with the transmission: To change gears you have to let off the gas at 3000rpms or so and let it go back down to 2000rpms, then put on the gas and it changes at 2500rpms. That is to get out of first. after that if you let of the gas it changes with ease. When I'm on the hwy at 120km/h or 75mp/h i will be at 3500rpms on cruise control. Would this have something to do with pour gas mileage? If so how would i fix it, and would there be any other contributions towards pour gas mileage?

Last night my windows security centre started going crazy, it disallowed my firefox and telling me that my PC was infected and suggested it's antivirus software (for me to buy it), notifcations every 30 seconds saying "Your computer has been hijacked" "your computer is being monitored.. by third party" and "keyloggers and other tracking (devices) may be in use)" I panicked and system restored to three days ago. Since then everything has been fine, I googled the it and it looks like it could have been BOGUS theats, by a virus. Do you think there's a chance that the threats were authentic?

My 2011 Ninja 250r is running 60mph at 8.2-8.3k rpms. does anyone know if it's losing power?

When I bought my 2011 ninja 250r I didn't over rev the engine during the break in period, and got my first oil change at 1k miles as per dealership suggestion. I was going 60mph @ less than 8k rpms. then I road it on a really hot day and I seemed to lose power. about 500rpms worth. sometimes it would get back up there but now it seems to stay about 3-400rpms less power than when I bought it. After careful thought and consideration, I decided to change the oil and filter at 4k miles... whoops, I know it should have been done sooner, keeping in mind that I road it pretty hard for a couple of days after I noticed lost power(hwy travel) =( but is it possible that maybe some seals got damaged or something, that could be the reason I seem to be losing power. Or could the heat and general break in, be the reason for the lost power? Im looking for an experienced answer. I would definitely be greatful for any knowledge on the subject matter. I really dont' want to take it to a dealer. also anyone that has a newer model 250r and wants to share there speeds @ rpms please let me know. mainly what your rpms are at 60mph. Thanks in advance!

You have things working against one another. The ceiling vent fan is made to take moisture out, you are putting more in by leaving the tub full of water. The ceiling fan will also pull heated air out, so the warm air you are putting in with the heater is being pulled out the ceiling fan. Empty the tub, vent the room for just a few minutes, then turn on the heater which is a dry heat. That should take care of your problem. In the winter you want a little moisture in the house as heating the air, dries it out. Making it uncomfortable.

Like I Dunno If It is Normal .Shedding Started In May & Is Still Going On. But My Stylist Said My Hair Was Perfectly Fine & She Layered It But Cut It All Ugly. Then I Went Too Get It Just Get It One Length its some what pasted my shoulders.. but when i straighten My Hair It Is Rough & Hard Too Straighten It..
