AFL says sorry about Pendleburys disallowed goal. what a joke?
Its now the 2nd occassion this season the AFL has been forced to apologise to Collingwood its current Premier team, which in itself is a disgrace. Geischen went to the Collingwood rooms immediately after the NAB cup grand final to personally apologise to Mick Malthouse for an incorrect interchange call that resulted in a free kick and goal to Essendon. Eddie McGuire is often accussed of running the League, by parochial opposition supporters and should now stand up on behalf of all supporters, and their clubs and insist on an inquiry, as to why The AFL commision, the rulers of aussie rules footy, in place to administer the game on behalf of all clubs, continually allow the unruly tampering and adjustment of the rules each year. It is also to my way of thinking totally wrong, that umpires are still "part time" when all players and coach's are full time professional, in an age when the AFL command millions of dollars in television rights, and corporate sponsorship and support. The paying public, annually asked to fork out big dollars for memberships, and entry to games deserve better than the idiotic, ludicrous, and inconsistent MRP decisions and the suspending of players from the game, who are after all the drawcards for these people, when outlaying their hard earned, to attend matches. Again i ask Eddie where are you, in my opinion its time for action, something has to be done to save the greatest game in the world !!
