Why does my wireless internet stay connected, but disallow browsing after a time period?

I leave my computer and iPhone connected to my wifi all day, but on my home network (only) it stops being able to browse the internet after a while of no use. Reconnecting to the network allows it to work again, but it never actually disconnects till I tell it too. Everywhere else I can return to it hours later and browse instantly.
