Im traveling to mexico from salinas, ca can someone tell me if i will find any checkpoints in hwy 10?

I assume you mean the US highway 10 ... probably only the border agricultural station. I hear there are some ICE near the border asking why your're going to Mexico but that's not highway 10. Highway 10 in Mexico is not a main highway
