My boyfriend Criticizes? 10 Points!!!!?

My boyfriend always says something negative about my clothing or he doesn't acknowledge when I dress up at all. I am so in love With fashion and I don't understand hwy he has to say something negative or ignore me. I see him look at me on the sly like he likes them but then he either criticizes them or ignores me. Why is this?
