Question about Subaru mileage?

I have approx. $3000 to buy a car. Ideally I'd get an '01 with mileage in the low 100k's, but I can't find that in my price range. I was looking for a Ford Taurus, but would really like a Subaru. I did find an '02 Subaru with 200k hwy miles for $3200. I've heard that Subarus last longer than the average car if taken care of. My question is, how long will a Subaru w/ 200k hwy miles last if taken well care of? Since Subarus are supposed to last longer is buying a Subaru with 200k miles like buying a Ford Taurus with say 150k miles? Is a '02 Subaru with 200k miles for $3200 a good or bad buy depending on how it's been taken care of?
