How do youHow do you moisturize EVERY layer of your skin?

I heard that if you moisturize every layer of your skin it will clean it out and smoothes your skin tones. I REALLY need to get all the layers because the top one is the dead layer anyway... Anyway how do you get through? Are there any lotions or anything you could use that you might find around your house? Any help would be great. Please no stupid answers.
